Founder's Day
The school celebrates the Founder's Day on 14 and 15 or 15 and 16 of October, every year. The day highlights the chequered leaves of the bygone days and exhibits the well-developed talents of the young Shepherdians. This is followed by a three-day mid-term break for the students to be with their parents / guardians. It is desired that the mid-term break is spent in Ooty itself. Request for the extension of mid-term break will not be entertained.
Graduation Ceremony
The Graduation Ceremony of the out-going batches is usually held on the last Saturday of February, every year, in which the students are awarded the Graduation certificates. This important function in the academic life of the student, on his passing out is attended by the members of the family of the students and by prominent educationists in the state. The function concludes with the graduation banquet in the school premises. The function is ceremonious and solemn.
Annual Athletic Meet
The Inter House Athletic Meet is held on the First Thursday in the Month of April, every year. The three days that follow will be holidays and parents/guardians may arrange to stay with their wards in Ooty. All the students are to report back at 5.00 pm on the following Sunday.
Investiture Ceremony
The Investiture of the Council of Prefects is effected on the last Saturday of February, every year. It coincides with the inception of the school on 21st February, 1977. The incoming prefects of the ensuing academic year are administered the Oath of Office on this day. It is a solemn occasion for the school as well as for the out-going batch of Class XII students.
